Strange SQL error

A client that is running MOSS Standard 32 bit in production on a single server with SQL server 2005 installed was getting the following error on a regular basis! This was causing the sharepoint server to horribly crasH!!

They are NOT running WSS/MOSS SP1 but have SQL SP2 + hotfixes installed.

The error is as follows:

******************************************************************

A runtime exception was detected. Details follow.

Message: Could not find stored procedure ‘proc_ar_BumpCacheInvalidationCounter’.

*******************************************************************

We found the solution after hours of digging around…The admin user account that the search service was using was corrupted! So we changed the user account and it works joyfully!
